Department of Streets & Public Improvements

The Street Department, headed by Tom Whitaker as Superintendent, undertakes the public works function of the City of Pottsville. Responsibilities of this department include performing maintenance of over 42 miles of streets and storm sewers, 15 separate parks and playground facilities including the JFK Pool, as well as City Hall and the City garage buildings.
