2018 Flood Recovery

Now that the flood waters have receded and the recovery process begins, it is very important to look to what your future may hold within the next couple of days.

In order to get the proper assistance after a disaster like this has occurred, it is important to document your losses in a detailed manner.

  • Contact your individual Insurance Provider/Flood Insurance
  • Individuals and businesses should report property damages to your local Municipality by calling the Office of the City Administrator at 570-628-4417

As of August 15, 2018, there has not been a Presidential Declaration of Disaster, there is no Federal Emergency Management Agency-FEMA assistance available. The process for this approval has only started and may not be a reality. We will keep you posted as we receive additional information
