MISSION STATEMENT:

We, the members of the Pottsville Bureau of Police, believe in the fair and impartial application of laws and ordinances without regard to race, color, creed, sex or station in life, in a manner which preserves basic human rights and maintains individual human dignity. We believe the citizens of the City of Pottsville have endowed us with a public trust. We will honor that trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of professional police conduct.

We will always endeavor to stay within the guidelines provided by the Constitution of the United States of America, the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Ordinances of the City of Pottsville, our Rules & Regulations, and our Policies & Procedures, during our daily activities, therefore ensuring our actions will be legal, ethical, reasonable, professional and consistent.

We believe an essential part of our mission is to establish and maintain a partnership with the community we serve in order to make the community a safer and more pleasant place to live and work.
