Mayor John D.W. Reiley's Holiday Tree Lighting Program
The Ceremonies will take place in Garfield Square on Saturday, December 2, 2000, beginning with entertainment from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and the lighting itself at 6:00 PM.
The program will begin inside the First United Methodist Church at 4th & West Market Sts at 4:00 pm:
- Welcome - Councilman Lawrence J. Lonergan
- Flag Presentation - Pottsville Joint Veterans
- Holiday entertainment
- All Saints Choir
- Nativity High School Singers
- Soloist Jennifer Guitas
- Schuylkill Express Choir
- Pottsville Area School District's D.H.H. Lengel Crimson Show Choir
- Soloist Suzette Joy
- Penn State Schuylkill Choir (Soloist Jeffrey Hawks)
- Holiday Greetings by Mayor John D.W. Reiley
- Garfield Square & Tuba Ensemble
- 6:00 pm - Official Tree Lighting with Mayor John D.W. Reiley & Pottsville City Council

The Pottsville Recreation Commission will sponsor holiday concerts, open to the public, at the following locations:
